Wellbeing Support

Wellbeing

Rochester Primary School is a wellbeing focused school, with a part time Wellbeing Officer. We are strong advocates of teaching the skills to students that give them tools to self-regulate, reflect and monitor their own wellbeing. For us; wellbeing isn’t just about teaching kids to smile and be happy, it is about giving them strategies that will enrich their lives. Families are encouraged at Rochester Primary School to seek out help from our school if faced with a problem or a concern about their child. Things our school can help with and offer external support for are:

  • Mental health issues
  • Educational Department Assessments
  • Self-regulation issues
  • Bullying
  • Conflict issues within peer groups.
  • Cyber Bullying
  • Grief and Loss
  • Family Violence

School Values

Rochester Primary School has school values that encompass the notion of ‘resilience, respect and responsibility.’ Rochester Primary School implements programs such as:

  • Respectful Relationships
  • Weekly Values lessons
